At Jobally, we value your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you can do so at any time. This page outlines the steps to request data deletion and explains what happens to your information.
How to Delete Your Account & Data
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the Jobally app:
- Open the Jobally app on your device.
- Go to Settings (usually the gear icon in the profile tab).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. This action is irreversible.
Option 2: Manual Request
If you cannot access the app or prefer to make a request via email, you can contact our support team:
- Email: contact@sotopatrick.com
- Subject Line: Request for Account Deletion - [Your Email/Username]
- Body: Please include your registered email address or username so we can locate your account.
We will process manual requests within 30 days, though typically much sooner.
What Data is Deleted?
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Account Information: Your username, email address, and password.
- Application Data: All job applications, contacts, interviews, and notes you have tracked.
- Files: Any resumes or cover letters stored in the app.
- Usage History: Your activity logs and preferences.
Note: Some data may be retained in our secure backups for a limited period (up to 90 days) before being completely overwritten. This data is not accessible for any other purpose.
Data Retention Policy
We do not keep your personal data after your account is deleted. However, we may retain:
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated data that cannot be traced back to you, used for improving our service.
- Legal Records: Information required to comply with legal obligations (e.g., payment records for tax purposes if you were a Premium subscriber).
